Methanol Fuel Block
By developing the 3.7kW “blue box” fuel cell generator and its deployment in pilot projects, NGM has gained a large amount of practical knowledge in the field of methanol fuel cell technology. We use this knowledge to develop our 100kW methanol fuel cell technology, but it has also led to the development of components that improve the operational functionality of the existing technology, such as an improved fuel supply and filter system: the NGM Methanol Fuel Block
Application
Most methanol fuel cell systems run on a mix of methanol and demineralized water. The NGM Methanol Fuel Block system is suitable for this mix, as well as pure methanol or demineralized water. The NGM Methanol Fuel Block has sufficient capacity for the fuel supply of one or more (3.7kW) methanol fuel cell systems, regardless of the supplier.
Advantages
There are a number of advantages of the NGM Methanol Fuel Block over the standard system supplied on the most common 3.7kW methanol fuel cell systems as we integrate into our Blue Box. Some of these include:
- Fewer couplings, so less chance of leakage
- Temperature range compatible to the system specifications
- Improved capacity due to larger filter surface
- Real-time pressure measurement for remote insight into filter saturation
Through these benefits, we help our customers work more safely and efficiently!
